Floral City Strawberry Festival 2013

Join us at the 26th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival on March 2 and 3 as Citrus County celebrates the plump red berry that we all love. Strawberries are a staple in our lives, from jams and jellies, to shortcakes, to Beatle songs about strawberry fields forever. On Saturday March 2, the festivities run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday March 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Admission is only $3.00 per person and children 12 and under are free.  With limited parking at the festival site, we offer shuttle service for $1 round trip per person from the Citrus County Fairgrounds, north of the event on Hwy 41.  
So, come out and enjoy more than just strawberries with fantastic food, live entertainment, more than 125 craft vendors,  continuous children’s activities, the Strawberry Princess Pageant, and of course STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE!

Crafters and vendors come from all over the United States and display a wide variety of items that include pottery, copper art, hand sewn items, woodcraft, scroll arty, acrylics, photography and much more!  Come out to see your favorite vendors and fine new favorites.    In addition to strawberry shortcake and other strawberry delicacies, a variety of food vendors offer appetizing menus that range from the traditional funnel cake to turkey legs, mouthwatering  BBQ, seafood and ice cream. Ferris Groves will once again be providing strawberries for sale, so plan on buying a half-flat or a full flat to take home!
